I assumed something fucky happened with either data stash our binge on.Welcome to the unofficial community for discussing all-things Verizon. They did not fix the issue before our plan switched over and we were throttled for the next 3 days.īoth our speeds are fine for everything now, but our situations are too similar for it to be a one off, freak occurrence. I called in and was transferred to tech support who agreed it should not be happening and had to put in a ticket to escalate the issue. Ookla speed tests came back blazing fast, but (which uses Netflix servers) came back at 0.19 mbps. We had 3 days left in our billing cycle so when I called in to change it they set it up to start on the next billing cycle.Īlmost as soon as I got off the phone, both of our data speeds were being throttled heavily. I had almost this exact issue last week! I switched my lines over from the 6gb plan to T-Mobile One as well.īoth my girlfriend and I were over our 6gb for the current cycle but we had plenty of data left over in our "Data Stash" so everything was fine. Can anyone just say they’re someone’s mom and then affect their settings? Is it bound by the credit card number? This came completely unexpectedly and I have no idea how that fact is possible. the guy from the t mobile app also reset my cellular connection.Īlso, Somehow when my mom got her new plan she somehow overtook the primary account holder ability on my number and t mobile account, because now I’m getting the notification for that on my app, even though we were on different plans before, and I was the primary account on that plan, as I wasn’t on any family plan. tried turning on data for the YouTube apps on my iPhone settings (for some reason though, no downloaded apps show up here, which is a slightly unknown glitch with iPhones, but it’s only been like that since the plan changed, so I’m doubting that it’s purely by chance that that happened right when my plan changed. (When I say “the app”, I mean YouTube, as I don’t use Netflix that much.) if I’m on data, when I try to open the YouTube or Netflix websites (not apps), they just wont load and time out. if I click on a YouTube video, there’s no loading or buffering, just a black screen behind the play button and time slider thingy. I can even do other things on the app like adding videos to playlists. The apps will open, there’s no messages of being offline (as there would be if the app was wholly unable to make contact with the network.) but thumbnails are blank on Netflix, and gray on YouTube. YouTube and Netflix videos will not play if I’m on cellular data. The new plan is T mobile One (I think the 55+ one) my old plan was the one with 6gb of data a month, severely throttled after that, with binge on and a data stash. I didn’t know this in my last post, so I thought it was an error on T-mobiles side. my mom changed my data plan for some reason a few days ago because she got a new phone. The videos for the apps don’t load, and on browser the webpages don’t load at all, across the board r/tmoemployees: The sub for employees onlyĮdit: It’s a problem with every single video streaming site and app. Slow Data Speeds? - Read this to learn before you post!
